Aura holds an HSE Certificate of Approval (No. 1162/92) for the provision of First Aid at Work and is a member of the Association of Independent First Aid at Work Training Organisations. Aura's trainers and assessors include doctors, occupational health nurses, former NHS paramedics and ambulance technicians together with personnel from other emergency services and HM Forces. Aura's training will be conducted at a ratio of 1 trainer : 12 students, all of whom will be given a suitable guidance manual. Aura is approved by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to provide grant aided first aid at work and emergency first aid training. This four day course covers the principles and practice of first aid as required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 as amended and the associated Code of Practice and Guidance. Certificates, valid for three years, will be awarded to competent candidates. Click here to contact us A one-day (or 4 hour) course suitable for Appointed Persons in workplaces where full first aiders may not be required or as support for full first aiders. The program will include resuscitation, the treatment of an unconscious casualty, treatment of wounds etc. Certificates,again valid for three years, will be awarded to candidates who satisfy the trainer/assessor of their competency.
